I've been reading and watching some of the Cybertruck reviews with interest. This conclusion from Edmunds Cars seems typical. "If you want a working truck, buy the Ford. If you want a versatile, fun, electric truck to support an active lifestyle, buy the Rivian. And if you want a Cybertruck, buy the Cybertruck.

This reminds me of the time when my wife's firm held a formal dinner dance around Halloween. It was advertised as a costume party. We were one of the few couples that came in costume. We even won the award for best costume. Almost, everyone else was in formal attire. I learned that night that it doesn't feel good to get a lot of attention if it is just because you look silly.

I think Elon got it wrong. It wasn't the Cybertruck that needs a thick skin, it is the Cybertruck owner.

Suspension, audio, rear wheel steer, camera quality and upgraded glass seem much better than what Rivian currently offers. My suspension is noisy and slow, audio system is awful and front glass is apparently made of sugar. Cameras on the Rivian are just unacceptable for a now $100k vehicle.
As you mentioned, CT is more loaded with better technology, and will likely outsell R1T by 5x margin, but will attract many hates here. I am all for new and better vehicle, and anxious to see what the new version of R1T will bring……..if there will be any.

"Better Technology" .. like drive by wire that leaves you stranded when it fails nearly immediately after getting your truck.

Come on, let’s not denigrate a company that pushes technological boundaries. Drive by wire makes perfect sense if fully autonomous driving is in Tesla’s plan.

Why? Still needs a motor to drive the steering rack.

I will 100% denigrate a company that likes to beta test on the driving public.

But i get it .. you are a Tesla Fanboy cultist. Logical thinking isn't your thing

My R1T drives smooth on good roads, but clunky over potholes. Tested friend’s CT, and it is smoother overall than R1T just as Edmunds says. Steer by wire is just unbelievable. If better ride quality, maneuverability in parking lots, bigger rear seats and bed, superior software and future FSD are important to you, then CT is the Choice. If you like the look of R1T, gear tunnel, bigger frunk, luxurious interior, and willing to live with smaller rear seats and smaller sized bed, then choose R1T. Personally ride quality, bigger rear seats and steer by wire won me over. At the end consumers will vote with purchases. It looks as though R1T is losing consumer demands as CT demand is going thru the roof.

Why so much hate and prejudice? go test drive CT or test FSD V12.3 like I have. You will know what I am talking about pushing technological and manufacturing boundaries. Ignorance and prejudice only belongs to each other. Just ask MAGA followers

Uh huh... you were saying (see 18:15)?

CT feels easier to maneuver than my R1T with minimal rear steering, probably due to its shorter front. If it gets rumored 10 deg rear steering, it will be like driving a much smaller vehicle. Mercedes EQS has 10 deg rear steering, it was so nice.
