Cybertruck vs R1T - Decision Made

I did the same thing. I'd pretty much decided to go with the 2025 R1T Quad next year but I thought it would be prudent to test drive the Cybertruck first.

I posted my review in the Cybertruck Owners - Cybertruck Reviews section. I caught a bit of heat ?

To be fair I do agree my heading was a bit inflammatory but I'm mostly concerned about the weird regressions... for example my Model S wireless charger is the best there is.... not so in the Cybertruck. It overheated my phone 3 times over a 6 hour drive.

Why did they close the thread? Seems to me like they are trying to stifle any views against the CT by doing that.

I posted it in the review section of the forum. It was an honest review from a car/truck fan. I found it a very disappointing product for the reasons I discussed.

I also got accused for being a bot, a troll, a Ford Exec and a millennial. ?. The replies at the end are people just telling me they don’t want my opinion ?‍… it was posted in the reviews section!!

My only issue with the Rivian is the size. I wish it was a little bit bigger, other than that it's perfect. I say that about a lot of things though

I was holding my day 1 reservation until we knew specs (not great) and Canadian pricing (also not great but cheaper than a Rivian) but made the choice for an R1T today. Just saving up some cash before I can pull the trigger. Unlike some here, I still think the Cybertruck has some advantages over an R1T (as does a Silverado or Lightning), however as a package the Rivian makes the most sense for me. Will join the tribe soon.

I like the R1T and Cybertruck but I am really intrigued by the Canoo pickup. It's a 21st century version of a 1960's VW air cooled pickup truck.

Design is very important to me and I'm not a fan of the CT design. That doesn't mean I hate the car-just don't like it compared to the R1.

You should have also considered how crazy this lot is. Too late now. Welcome to the (crazy) family!

I'm not sure Canoo will make it as a company, they are just not moving fast enough and are entering a crowded market. The specs don't look particularly good either. The LV has a better chance as a minivan replacement for a family running around town.

You dodged a horror show. Horrible engineering and construction. Egregious actually. Tesla should return everyone’s money and part them out
