DC Fast Charging Expansion in MN and WI

At least in my area around MN and WI I've seen a real significant increase in the number of fast chargers available or under construction over the last 3 months. Circle K / Holiday gas stations in particular are quickly bringing 180 kW units online at a number of gas stations. I make a yearly trip to the MN/SD boarder along rural highways and there are a lot more chargers along the way now vs a year ago.

That’s great. I travel to northern Minnesota from Colorado at least once a year and would love to have some more fast charger locations in those small towns. It will be nice to get access to Tesla superchargers but there still isn’t any fast chargers over 50kw besides Bemidji and Duluth.

Permits for work are pulled. Looks like a week of work. Who knows if that means its up then. I'm heading north the weekend of the 26th and will be checking it out.

Circle k has decommitted some of their planned installations. Forest lake, Monticello, and others that were “coming soon” are no longer on their website.

I'd love if they continued to put them at Holidays in cabin country. The way the Brainerd Lakes area is being ignored is outrageous.

I don’t think the charging companies understand the cabin culture here and the migration that happens every summer weekend.
