Having issues with DCFC on my R1S. I typically charge for free at my workplace on Level 2, but wanted to try DCFC. I have one ChargePoint 50KW charger near my home that works reliably at around 32KW Max.
Problem I am having is with faster chargers. Have tried multiple Electrify America and EVgo 150 and 350KW and the truck does not even register that the charger has been plugged in. Used multiple locations and followed vehicles that successfully charged. One EA station 150KW had an R1T that was charging at 89KW. I have never been able to get the truck to even register that the plug is inserted, much less a charge or red charging light.
Anyone else had this issue or heard of it?
Have completed 2 OTA updates since initial attempt, 2 resets, and multiple sleep procedures. Made an appointment 2 weeks ago with Rivian service when I first noticed the issue and Rivian in SoCal is 30 days out to even take in my vehicle (!!!). Appointment in 2 weeks. Wondering if anyone has had this same issue and if they were able to solve. Are there potentially different charging module hardware/boards for 50KW vs 150KW+ and perhaps my 150+ may have failed (or never worked)?
Have no confidence that I can take this vehicle on longer trips and charge reliably/quickly, and extremely perturbed on a 30-day wait to have my vehicle even inspected for what is a pretty significant operational issue.
