Delivery cancelled, Charged twice

Same boat as Rhidan. Delivery canceled 12 hours before pick up- found an issue that requires it to go to Body shop. Been waiting a week to even get an estimate on when it will be IN the body shop, let alone a new estimate for delivery. Already paid for the truck, now just waiting in line again. Frustrating, but also need to remind myself this is the risk with a start up.

My truck spent several days at a body shop for paint issues it had at delivery, after I owned it for a month.

Hey, my delivery was just cancelled too. Delivery expected May 18.

Growing pains of a brand new car company. Clearly they are adjusting the way they do things every week and trying to improve. But this particular case doesn't seem that bad. IF you live 70 miles from a conventional ICE car dealer you either have to go and pick it up or have it delivered. Not sure what the difference is.

Sorry for those who didn't notice I was quoting OP not mysta. OP said Rivian would deliver his truck via flatbed in one week.
Then Mysta showed his terrible tesla story (truly something to be upset over, in my opinion).
If you compare the two stories, you see that Rivian was at least somewhat sensible...

Still waiting for my truck to get in the body shop for a better estimate than 4-6 weeks! Had Guide start search for another truck- apparently the new unicorn is Launch Green with Off-road Package- includes underbody protection. I can get a truck tomorrow if I’m willing to change off of the Offroad package. Already gave up OC- not giving any more concessions. Was told id have an urgent estimate on Monday as I’ve already paid for the truck. There are At least 20 other trucks at Costa Mesa waiting for someone else…

Now that I look back on it I worded it poorly. I should have read, Imagine if Tesla offered to send your car to you via flatbed in one week!

I've seen 2 or 3 of these "throwing in the towel" posts due to a delay or other inconvenience.
I would fly to Orlando tomorrow, wire the money, and drive it back to California if that were an option.

OP was given three options: We'll drive it to you soon, come pick it up soon, we will flatbed it to you next week. After waiting this long I don't find any of those to be a deal killer, compared to what Tesla did to Mysta. "Fly 600 miles in the next 3 days or we're selling your broken car to someone else" Now that is worth getting upset over.

Nobody is going to feel bad for OP. This might be one of the most ridiculous posts I’ve seen.

Go pick it up or wait a week. Guarantee there are plenty of others who would take his spot in line and drive much further.
