Delivery Estimate Change

Did everyone else who has a pending delivery see their status change to "Processing Estimate" today? I know Rivian indicated a week or so ago that they were pushing the Q3 delivery updates into August, so it seemed a bit early for my status to change for that purpose. I didn't make any configuration changes to my build, but did get access to the R1 shop today as well. Just trying to figure out if this change was part of a larger status update, or if I may indeed be moving closer to my number being called. For reference purposes, I was a November 2021 pre-order with an April to June 2024 estimated delivery date (prior to checking this morning).

You had a projected delivery date of "April to June 2024" and you were given Shop access today, almost a full year early? If you're able to take delivery at this time.. I'd jump on that!!

For me it has not changed. I have a June-July 2023 delivery but no word yet. I did access to the R shop yesterday though. My order date is Aug 31 2021

Thanks for the additional data points! Reached out to Rivian CS to see if they could shed any light on my delivery date status change. I was introduced to my guide, who confirmed that my original build is on track with the previous window estimate (April to June 2024), but that if I had any questions about anything I saw in the R1 shop to let her know. Not going to complain about progress...worst case at this point seems to be that I get my exact build in 8-11 months. I'll certainly take it.

It may mean your configuration is ready. Call CS and they will connect you with your assigned Guide. That is what happened to me a few weeks ago and now a proud owner of R1S. Their CS is messed up and you should call them.

It means you lost your opportunity to get your vehicle in 1-3 weeks and now have to wait till your new/revised window opens for your configured build or they have a lot of R1S in the Shop again and they offer you access.

If that were the case, wouldn't they just tell me my R1S was ready for delivery? If you are right, and you may very well be, they certainly don't make that clear. Passive aggressive approach.

The Shop access is designed to give you access weeks or months ahead of your actual custom built vehicle. I had Shop access in early Dec 2022, I didn't take a Shop vehicle... my custom built R1T was delivered Jan 20th 2023. Only another month out... but that's not always the case, you could wait longer.
