New to the group...so thanks for the forum. I have had an R1T Adventure on order since December 2018. I had minimal communication until about 1 month ago when Katie at Rivian reached out as my guide. She has been very helpful so far and answers emails within 4-8 hours. Initial expectation was delivery was going to be somewhere after July, but SUPRISE! My order is ready and will be delivered next Saturday! I am new to the e-vehicle world and am definitely nervous. I am anticipating "range anxiety" but have decided to jump in with both feet. I have many friends with Tesla so I am looking forward to sharing my experience and comparing things like charging capabilities and overall satisfaction with the company and the vehicle. So far I would say that Rivian is the antithesis of Tesla for customer touch. My eyes are wide open and I am an objective person by nature so I hope to provide a balanced review of my experience.
As it relates to the buying experience. Other than the surprise of the quick delivery, everything else has been super smooth. My insurance company (USAA) is coordinating with Rivian on getting plates, etc and anticipate getting my R1T next Saturday with MA Plates and ready to go. I am also trading in a car which was within $500 of Carvana so I took the deal to make the transition smooth. I live in Western MA so the my R1T is coming from Brooklyn. They are flat-bedding the truck to my house and gien me a 1 hour window for arival.
Lots to come...I think I am early adopter for this area so I will keep you updated over the coming weeks.
