Delivery qq on caliper covers

I’m in the club!! Took delivery Thursday. R1S El Cap, dual max, performance upgrade. At delivery, I was shocked to see that there were no silver caliper covers to match the front. The delivery guy seemed unsure about this, but when we looked around at all the other R1s about to be delivered, none of them had rear caliper covers either.

So my question is - does Rivian only put caliper covers on the fronts? If so, anyone know why?

The caliper covers you see on eBay is not what Rivian is using.

High performance vehicles will use big brake kits with larger rotors and more pistons for increased stopping power. Front brakes are 6 piston Brembo calipers for increased stopping power (Big Brake Kit). These are physically larger and comes in this shape from Brembo.

The Rivian rear brake calipers have a single piston design, meaning they only have one piston per caliper, making it a "single piston sliding caliper" configuration.

Hmmm not sure how to interpret this thread so far ? maybe a poorly worded question, so I’ll try again…

On my Rivian, front has these beautiful silver caliper covers:

And rear looks terrible, no cover, parts exposed, serial number visible:

So my question is whether this is standard for all Rivians? Are yours all the same?

those are the silver version of what midnight rivian posted above in the rivian yellow (quad) version. So all is as it should be.

oh no ? I was hoping there was a part shortage or something. Disappointing design decision by Rivian, but whatever…

If you had gotten a quad or tri, you would have gotten the yellow. It's a feature you decided wasn't worth paying for.

I dunno.. I’d definitely prefer a tri or quad, but IMO you don’t want to draw attention to the brake assembly on the rear.. painting that part is same “mod” 16yo kids do to their junker Civics. Don’t get me wrong.. I’m loving the Rivian so far, but this has to be the only premium car on the market that has nice finished calipers on the front, and just puts paint on the rear?!?!

These are not covers. Those are the calipers. Literally the body of the front caliper. It’s not a cover of any sort.
