Got this from a hedge apple from parking at my sons school, any recommendations on how to get it out out or fixed? Rivian service said they wouldn’t do anything for me since it’s not a manufacturing defect:

Could try calling DentPro or a similar "paint-less dent repair" business. The plastic caps come off the bed sides, so there should be access behind that panel for the DentPro guy to get their tools behind it and work their magic.

That dent looks like it was caused by service or someone who serviced the bed cover prior to delivery. I had similar damage caused on my truck by the service team just jamming a pry tool in there against the body without a few strips of blue tape down and maybe a microfiber underneath. In your pic it even looks like the black trim pice is discolored or fatigued a bit from being pried out.

I bet if you take that black trim pice off that is the exact spot where a snap in fastener sits...again pointing to pre-delivery or service work since only a Rivian tech would know to pry in that exact spot.

Who is training some of these techs... I get it that sometimes inexperienced people make mistakes and dents and scratches happen...but they should speak up vs. sending the truck on it's way and hoping the owner's don't notice.

I have a similar dent in that same area ( but not as bad), and I suspect I did it resting my weight on that panel while I was setting up my roof top tent. I'm also curious to know how much of a PITA it will be to remove panels so that I can press from the underside to pop it back out.

Take it to a dent repair place/body shop with a good dent guy. They’ll have it out in seconds. Probsbly without taking anything apart.

alternative is the hot glue gun trick

Leave the scar as a reminder make a signature under it. There will be more but this one is memorable :)
