I am on the latest (2023.2.3) and today I noticed something that I hadn't seen before.
I had the climate Sync turned off, the rear seat had cool on one side and heat on the other side and no matter what I did I couldn't turn off the heat on the rear passenger side. I could have sworn there used to be a temp selector for rear seat before but maybe I'm wrong.
Regardless, the only way I was able to turn the heat of to the rear was the click Sync again, and then unsync. This only happens when there is not passenger in the front so the right side temp controls don't show. Which means you can't change the rear right temp unless you have it sync'd. Not particularly important but I am nearly confident this was not always the case.

They are linked side to side with the front vents, or have been. Supposedly they are going to allow independent control in an update at some point, but I would have thought they would highlight it. Was the front passenger side set warmer than the driver side?

Yes, front passenger vent was on heat and driver vent was on cool. But when it's in that position, you cannot change the passenger side at all unless you sync them back up since there is no one in the passenger seat. That is not ideal but also if you know how it works then there's an easy workaround.
Overall I have been very happy with the pace of improvements on my R1T. The first month of ownership (March/22) was pretty painful dealing with the PAAK functionality that was simply not working. Nowadays I have very few issues with the truck itself. Even my Tonneau cover has been working fine.
