Disabling eSim

Has anyone pursued disconnecting the eSim via fuse or other means?

We may or may not have watched Leave the World Behind with the peanut gallery chiming in: "I'm surprised it's not a bunch of Rivians piled up."

eSim is by definition is not a physical thing. The only physical way of disabling it would be destroying modem chip. Cheaper to get a LTE jammer on aliexpress

There's no module you can disconnect, or even a simple "airplane mode" for it? I'm not saying I believe (spoiler alert) the Koreans or Iranians can hack Rivians into all self-driving to a specific location, but if Rivian can push OTA without us approving in app or on phone, maybe it could just be disabled remotely and become a shiny brick in the garage.

I would like to have the ability to turn off the LTE modem just like you can turn off the WiFi or Bluetooth radios. On a separate but related note, we should also have the ability to use the WiFi in motion as the onboard LTE does not have coverage everywhere.

FWIW.. you can turn the WiFi off and it will stay off, but turn the BT off and it will turn itself back on next time you open the driver door. Rivian has told me this is "normal" behavior.
