Thank you for the info. At what point in the process are you "committed" to a purchase?

For context, I'm a 2nd day reservation holder so I'm hoping my number won't come up until late in 2026 as I won't purchase until Lidar/Gen3 hardware is launched on the R2. I'd love to start the process but I don't want to be locked in on a non-lidar purchase so I'm curious at what point in this process am I committed?

I usually say when signatures start getting involved in the process.

That being said, I last went thru the order process in January of 2024, and things have changed since then..... and we don't know if they will change again with the launch of R2 - they might be revamping some things to take into account any increase in volume of orders.

If you submit a configuration to be built, your deposit may become non-refundable. However, just because you are invited to configure doesn't require you to do so. You can wait indefinitely for the configuration you wish to order to become available. At some point you may be given the ultimatum to configure or request a refund, but there is no pressure to confirm your configuration until you wish to do so.
