Door storage unhinged at bottom

Anyone else have an issue where the bottom of the storage area for a first gen door storage won’t hinge at the bottom anymore? It’s like something broke and now it’s loose and stuff falls through the bottom of it. Ideas?

I think it is elastic with sewed seams. I had a seam get stuck out of the slot and pulled on it a few times and it popped back in. Maybe yours is the same or you broke the elastic?

Yes. Mine did the same last year. Mobile service was able to fix it, but it took replacing the entire interior door panel.

Here are the pictures. The sides are connected fine, but the bottom isn’t connected at all. The passenger door is connected at the bottom and works great.

Same as mine, broken. Plastic at the bottom flexes until it breaks.

I just used gorilla tape on the inside of the door after placing it back in the grove. Works well. Can’t tell anything is wrong with it now.

I put a service request in and hoping to get it looked at/fixed during my appointment (for tocking motor sounds at low speed) in March.

Unfortunately the fix requires replacing the entire side panel, there's so individual part for it.

I went with gorilla tape for now. Seems fine for my limited use.

I put a service request in and hoping to get it looked at/fixed during my appointment (for tocking motor sounds at low speed) in March.

Did you get yours replaced? I have mine in for a future service (Feb 2026), I was already told it was not covered under any warranty but don't have an estimate yet for replacing the panel.

I will probably have it replaced unless the cost is prohibitive.

My passenger side door pocket is broken too. It's used a lot. I've been meaning to use a duck tape inside the pocket corner to hold the bottom part as someone posted how they fixed theirs.

yes and as mentioned they replace the whole door panel.
