Drive Cam recordings - memory file size test

Does anyone know the required speed? I feel with constant writes it might be better to go with a harddrive than an ssd.

I would consider the location. On a hot day, recording GearGuard video can easily overheat a hard drive. I'm using a micro SD card specifically designed for dash cams, constant rewrites, and direct sun exposure.
