Hopefully you don’t wind up hurting someone else because you’re so fucking Important that someone can’t just wait 5 min for your arrival. I’ll lecture who I please thanks.

Also great edit after I already quoted your post. That’s just real high class stuff.

What a terrible logic. Alcohol exists so therefore people are going to drink and drive and we all just need to accept it right? Dont Use the people are going to do it anyways excuse because that isn’t valid anywhere else. Do better.
What you say makes no sense, that statement has no logic, and I really don't want to flame on a forum and be "that guy" but your logic is what's wrong with the world today. I'm not going to respond to anymore of your comments, because they are just not smart sorry.

It’s not MY logic at fault. It’s the 3rd grade “it exists so people are going to do it “ logic that’s the problem. Everyone else has learned that sort of thing doesn’t fly once they are about 6 or so.

You judging me for intelligence doesn’t mean a whole lot with that level of reasoning ability.

Always, ALWAYS that one guy behind his bag of chips on the keyboard, on every forum..they do not add anything constructive just hating, angry, judgmental and causing waves....SMH

Honestly, the first post I make happy about the Rivan I make one comment about a small short coming and here we go!!!

Nobody needs to jam what you believe in down anyone else's throat, and because they don't follow their lead....those people are wrong.

I hope this one person is not representative of what's on this forum or I'm out!

Wow, this thread really devolved! Even I needed to take a deep breath...

This thread rattled me because I have respect for both of the primary debaters here. Even though nametaken is new to the forum, I thought your original post was informative and useful. And I have agreed with Donald and respected his opinions on a number of subjects previously, and have considered you to be respectful even while holding a strong opinion. (plus you obviously have good taste in truck color)

Texting while driving and distracted driving in general are definitely "hot button" issues. One of my biggest highway fears is watching tractor-trailer drivers texting (with their hands) while their rigs veer from the left center stripe to over the right rumble strip and back repeatedly while traveling over 70 mph. I routinely observe this 2-3 times per hour on I-87 between Albany and the Canadian border. It terrifies me. On the other hand, I am far from completely innocent when it comes to distracted driving.

So I try to step back and remember that I don't have to drive over 70 ALL the time, that I can choose NOT to return a text or answer a phone call immediately, and that it's okay to sit in the parking lot for 5 minutes to eat my McDonalds burger.
