As a data nerd, I love what Rivian Roamer has to offer, and now that I can import my data from ElectraFi, it's like Full Circle!

If you don't use Rivian Roamer Dashboard, I would encourage you to do so, it's an amazing site for nerds :)

Just that, wanted to share why I'm happy today :)

Glad to finally see it, though I haven't imported my data yet. Generally liking your interface, but wondering if you have any plans to add some of the features ElectraFi has like tracking home vs travel charging as a filterable option with aggregate monthly stats? Kinda goes along with saving certain locations, home, school, work, etc and being able to filter sessions/trips/charges by them. Maybe easier to implement would be just a filter with a max charge speed (say anything under 12 kW is AC vs > 12 kW is DC / travel charging). One reason I'm interested in this one is being able to track how many kWh I've charged at home for accounting purposes. One silly thing that is fun to look at periodically is the Lifetime Map showing everywhere you've driven and charged.

Is there a clear notion of where sessions break on time between? I'd like to challenge the efficient drive leaderboard at some point, but want to make sure that the inefficient drive up the mountain doesn't impact the efficient drive session on the way back down, etc.

I'm currently using both services and like different aspects of each for now, but Roamer Plus is getting close to me cutting off ElectriFi. Great work so far!

I've been a TeslaFi / ElectraFi user for years and it's a great service. We have no marriage contract however, so I can shop around. I know there are some limits as to what any service can collect as not everything is exposed via the API, but are there any notable features/improvements/differences with RR vs EF?

Mainly presentation, but Roamer Plus is obviously a new service and new features have been added quickly since it was first made available. The dev has also made speed/efficiency a priority and it really shows, especially against some of the very slow to load pages in ElectraFi. The other brand is also obviously tied heavily to their Tesla roots, so some of their work to support Rivians seems kinda hacky. I expect that with time Rivian Roamer will definitely be the best in the biz for archiving/displaying Rivian data. For now, I'm happy to support both, but expect I'll switch to Rivian Roamer / Roamer Plus exclusively by the next time my ElectriFi subscription would renew.

If you get the emailed development updates there was one about data importing that had a soft-launched link in it before it shows in the UI.

Oh yeah, I have a giant backlog of features I'm adding. Not sure if you see the weekly updates but I'm making consistent progress. :)

I just signed up for pro yesterday, so I assume the email went out before I signed up.

I've kept the link of the dashboard for now intentionally. Importing is a very expensive process and want to slow roll it.
Sweet, thanks for the link! I love the work you've done, and totally get wanting to roll it out slowly. I've been there before.

For me, the UI and continuous improvement of the experience is my #1 driver towards RR. When I get to my dashboard in my phone, I can see al the main info that I need/want in a single view, very quickly.

Also, some fun data math it's already done for me (like Efficiency since last charge), as well as accurate calculation of range at 100% based on your driving history:

Rivian R1T R1S ElectraFi to Rivian Roamer 1767810028381-3a

Also, very easy to see phantom drain (ElectraFi also has it but this is more comprehensive):
Rivian R1T R1S ElectraFi to Rivian Roamer 1767810056353-s

Your screenshots are helpful. Seeing how efficient my drives are as they compare to the actual expected numbers is one of the main things I like(d) about ElectraFi / TeslaFi, but it doesn't seem like ElectraFi will give me those numbers. I have to calculate them myself:

Rivian R1T R1S ElectraFi to Rivian Roamer 1767814381777-xy

For this one, I can see I got 1.55mi/kwh. Somewhere there is a chart that shows what efficiency you need to get to make the truck's rated range. I think it's around 2.2 or 2.3 mi/kwh for a '23 PDM max on 20ATs.

Sorry for all the hijack questions, but at least they're kind of relevant for anyone thinking of migrating. It's great that EF allows you to export the data and take it with you, and that RR allows you to import it.

This is my drive session for today
Rivian R1T R1S ElectraFi to Rivian Roamer 1767831954248-gm

And if I click on that session, I get this:

Rivian R1T R1S ElectraFi to Rivian Roamer 1767832020451-07

Rivian R1T R1S ElectraFi to Rivian Roamer 1767832000175-zz

Looks like adding the efficiency percentage would be a feature update, but the data visualization is nice. Would also be useful to show the start / stop times of the trip. That looked like one grueling trip!
