When I did my test drive they had a case with color samples. I held them at different angles and lighting to see how they compare. While I didn't look at the grey colors they did shift shades depending on how the light was hitting them.

If you have a Rivian shop on your area it's worth taking a look at their samples. I am fortunate to live close by the only one in my state.

*I'm tired of owning grey and white vehicles, I'm going to get the green. I think the blue it too light, wish it was darker but the green will do.

1. Does LA Silver have no flake? I thought i read that once but can’t remember.

2. Is ES with or without flake?

Esker does have flake but slightly different kind of flake. Yes, the picture doesn't do justice to the Esker. It really is darker than LA silver. YMMV.

Pics in bright sunlight are not the best for comparisons like this, overcast skies are ideal. Regardless, Esker Silver definitely has my vote over LA Silver.

LAS has flake. Per Rivian it has the most flake of all the original R1 colors.
Not sure about ES, but just based on photos it looks like it does.

Thanks! That’s my config! Now if only Rivian can get it to me ASAP!
Mine as well but with coastal cloud. I guess I'll take my chances with 21's (with compact spare). Hopefully Michelin and other tire companies will start making all seasons in 21's.

Since you asked - here is photo of two R1Ts, LA Silver & Forrest Green. Massive amount of flake on the LA Silver, it looked sharp! Haven't seen Esker in person yet.

First real photo we’ve seen on the 21s…. Any other photos at different angles taken?
Did you mean 21's on Esker Silver? Wasn't sure. Otherwise, there are a lot of pics of the 21's around - I'd wager the majority I've seen are 21's, especially employee vehicles. Surprised me a little. Last time I looked at the stat log of users here, there were more 21 orders than 22's.
