Did the same thing but I had a Super Automatic machine and big mistake after driving on a bumpy dirt road for 25 miles the water in the water tank joined the beans in the adjacent hopper and had to take the whole machine apart to clean up the coffee muck.....Word to the wise, empty the water out of the tank before driving with a super automatic espresso machine.....

Yeah, I emptied the tank before driving, especially on the steep and rough forest roads I was on.
