I got the same - it's saying/implying that those of us that made a reservation and have an order window in the next few months, is "guaranteed" of getting the LE perks (free Autonomy +, tow package etc).
It means that for the time being, and for some time in the future, all R2 sold will have the Launch Package included. How long in the future? is unknown to us the consumers. I would not be surprised if Rivian itself has not determined when this marketing strategy will change (depending on demand for LE, production capacity, and consumer demand for other configurations).
It means exactly what it says. For a limited time, when you order an R2 it will come with the Launch Package. It's listed right on the page with the different trim levels--Autonomy+; Tow Package; Limited Edition key fob; ability to order Launch Green. At some point, this will go away, but they won't tell anyone when it expires to try and pressure people to buy now before it's too late.
It means LE is what they are building and delivering, until it is no longer offered/produced. Once that decision is made and announced, and you’ve yet to be invited to order, you won’t get a LE.
I also received this in a e-mail from Rivian: "R2 Performance with Launch Package will remain available for you until it's your time to order." (my window is December-February).
Then you are pretty much locked in to LE unless you postpone.

A key part to remember.
Yes it's highly unlikely that the Launch Edition will still be available by the time the Premium trim comes online at the end of the year. If you build a Premium trim on the website rn, the LE is not shown as included or available.
The only R2 they’re selling right now is the Performance with Launch Package. I think they want to sell 20K to 25K of these before discontinuing the Launch Package. Similar to what they did with the R1.
