I own a Rivian, it makes sense for me to be here. I also can’t stand short sellers, and you obviously are one considering you don’t have a Rivian and stock price is the motivation you admit is the reason you’re here.
You really must love Rivian to encourage a previous owner to continue to discuss his negative experiences, instead of a more mature route of possibly asking what I actually liked about the truck, like why did I hold onto it for almost four years? But alas you can't because I'm now blocking you. Bye bye

I never said Tesla's don't have quality issues. Ever. Stop your propaganda. And if you don't want to hear my thoughts anywhere move on and block me.
Well now you’re just lying. Welcome to my exceptionally small blocked list. I hope you get the satisfaction you’re seeking from this.

Every EV except Tesla has frequent issues still these days... BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen, even the Sprectre.

I see the issue. You don't understand what the word "brick" means. It means the vehicle is literally undrivable and cannot be resuscitated without Rivian intervening.
I hope I know what bricked means because my truck had to be towed to the service place about once per year. That never happened to my RAM 1500 in 7 years or any of my Range Rovers or Mercedes or Tesla or any other car. Maybe my old Land Rover Defender, that needed a new transmission.

Again, my experiences, ppl need to be more respectful towards others, we have a right to our own opinions, and have a right to express our experiences. The bullying and arguing on this forum is so disappointing.

That's not a lie, it's very accurate - Tesla's issues are no longer as prevalent as they once were. All, and I mean all, of the other EVs have issues quite frequently. I would just never buy a Tesla because of the bonehead running it.

You had a super early launch edition but didn't become a member here until late 2024. Ok. Your last post was killed for too many politics. You can leave now.

Yes this forum sucks. People are a holes on here. I was on another which slowed down over time. But they were very helpful at first. I can't stand social media because of nasty trolls like you, and the moderators of this forum didn't control that very well. Oh well. Ok blocking you now, enjoy your life.

I’ve always felt these type of farewell posts were like stopping by your recent ex’s parents house and telling them why you left their son.

I loved my Lightning but never considered telling the Lightning forum I was moving on. Kind of none of their business and I doubt they would care.
Why would it be none of their business? and why would they not care?

The first question we have to ask is who they are? For a Rivian forum they are current owners, perspective owners, stock owners, stock shorters.

The person leaving might or might not have developed friendships within the community. Lots of forum members here have done group activities.

I'd say all of those people benefit from an exit interview.

In my case I care about the details the OP listed as I'm a Rivian owner who has complained about suspension noise. I also might consider a GM EV truck at some point in the future. I say consider as I'm very hesitant on buying an EV from a dealer.

As to the ex's parents I'd have to ask why not? If I'm supposed to ask them for permission to marry their daughter then why can't I tell them why I'm not marrying them? They created this individual through their own blood, sweat and tears and yet we're not supposed to them that what they created is undatable? Why is our society so bent on smile and denial?

It's funny you said all of this because I never felt comfortable on this forum. If I said something positive about Rivian trolls would bash and argue with me. If I said something negative or a problem trolls would bash and argue with me. And I always had the feeling the majority of users, or at least the most active, were shorting the stock and trying to pump it one way or another. I have a really hard time believing Rivian owners are such a holes, I'm hoping they're just non owning trolls, but who knows.

There is no question that owners of expensive vehicles tend to be a-holes. Now this doesn't mean all or even most. It just means that the likelihood of a Rivian owner being an a-hole is higher than average.

Plus on average the A-hole quotient is going up as our society itself crumbles due to the great disconnect. The great disconnect being algorithms, bots, etc are replacing interaction with actual people. In fact I'm actively trying not to use the FB main feed as I feel like everything I say could be replaced with a bot.

I think the best escape from a-holes (whether actual humans or bots) is to join a local Rivian community. A big part of owning a Rivian is it's capabilities and what better way to explore those capabilities then with a group that does off road rides. At least it would be time spent away from FB. :)
