Hello, I am long time lurking of this forum. I am a research based guy before I spent big money I like to get all the information I can on a vehicle. I demo drove the R1T 4 times in the Atlanta, GA area and a 5th drive took place in Salt Lake City, Utah. The folks in Utah simply handed me the keys recommended a route and said bring it back in an hour. lol
I purchased a demo 2022 R1T Quad El cap with dark 22's from the Richmond, VA SC. For a few days in June Rivian was transporting vehicles from SC to SC. So they transported my R1T from Richmond, VA to Atlanta, GA. I was willing to fly to VA to get it and drive the 8-10 hrs or back to the ATL area.
Delivery went well. I was set for Saturday (June 29) delivery, but I was on vacation out of the country the week prior so I couldn't get all my purchase task down (trade-in). I ordered from the demo site on June 6 and took delivery on SUNDAY June 30. Gotta get those sales in before the end of the fiscal quarter.
My truck was not as clean as I would have liked it to be. I did not say anything at delivery. I can be very picky about the cleanliness of my vehicles. They did wash and clean the truck , but inside of the wheels and the storage area under the rear seat was very dirty. Again I know I am picky about my vehicles. Also part of the gear tunnel was taken apart. I reassembled that.
