I’ve really don’t it here. I borrowed a jack from a Tesla neighbour, and raised the car high enough to get the completely flat tire off.

Problem is a new, inflated tire won’t fit. I can’t even get the old one back one bc it’s sucked air in through the rear and is now higher.

Could I… get ready to shake your heads… lower the jack and have the truck on just 3 wheels for 5 seconds while I swap in a different, taller jack??

Put a jack stand or a stack of wood blocks under the lower suspension arm behind the wheel you removed. Lower the vehicle slowly and carefully to rest on the jackstand or blocks.

Agree with this approach and then place lumber under the jack before you jack the truck back up to get the height you need

Maybe deflate the tire to get it on then reinflate it?
this is the best/easiest answer at the moment.
Your car has a hose and pump attached, make use of them to get yourself out of a sticky situation.

I'm assuming you didn't put the vehicle in Tire Change Mode for this?

If he can't get the old deflated one back on, the new one deflated isn't going to work either.

I did what some said, stacked wood under the control arm, lowered it slowly, swapped out the small jack for a 3 ton floor, and was able to get it up to the proper height to put the new tire on.

I had a similar situation very recently. In my case it was caused by a nearly new hydraulic jack that would only go 2/3 extension. After a search, I found there were several possible causes of this problem.

I use one wheel from my winter set as a spare. After I delivered the flat to the shop, I decided to finish the swap and rotation. The second time the jack only lifted high enough to remove the 21 but not replace it with the taller 20 inch all terrain. I thought about deflating the 20 to get it on but the sidewalls are pretty stiff. I thought putting my arm on top of the tire and under the fender of a jacked up vehicle seemed like a bad idea. Stacking wood under the control arm worked well.

I learned two things that day. I'm going to check out my jack before a big trip where I might need it. Also, the plan to save a few dollars by having a mismatched spare worked great. I thought the truck computer might complain. But for there were no problems driving that way temporarily.

3T jack stand; that's what they're for.
