Funny when you have NO hope of ever getting your Rivian (drama king) to getting the email that your vehicle is ready. Then the 8 steps email, followed by guide contact and interaction, I've gone thru the gamut of emotions and plans B, C, D. My questions are: 1. Once the vehicle is out on the lot to be loaded on the train, how long does that process "normally" take? What factors influence that? Is there one train that stops at all service centers as it crosses the country? Once the train delivers the vehicle to the service center, how long is it taking for the service center to process and vehicle prep?
My guide has said the process can take up to 8 weeks. I'm posting this to touch/reach people that know more than I do (not very hard) as well as those who have gone thru the process and now have their vehicles. Lots of questions. Free Crispy Cream donut to the person with all the "correct" answers.

Thank you for the info., Looks like two plus months. I saw a Youtube video of the ?Denver service center. They have 50 vehicles on the lot waiting for delivery.Yikes

One potential thing going for you, is that it's the end of the QTR, and if your R1S arrives via rail in time for prep, they might staff up and push to get it delivered in this QTR's numbers. But, my Guide said it can take 6 - 8 weeks to get to El Segundo and ready for delivery.

I'm in the same boat (er, train) as you right now. VIN and 8 steps opened for me on 8/17 or 8/18. I think it was 8/22 that my guide told me it was now showing "in transit" and as of this Monday 8/29 he said it had been checked in in Kansas but did not show when that was. I need it to make it all the way to El Segundo! Hopefully train is moving quick as I am impatient also. I'm selling my current truck tomorrow 9/2 because I got an offer that I'm really happy with and don't want to let expire. Will be sharing a car/renting a car if needed until R1T is here.

I got guide assignment on Sat 8/27 and had guide contact and 8 Steps open on Mon 8/29. I believe that I was initially told the truck was in Normal and to expect 3-8 weeks for delivery. My guide responded to a question recently though with an addition he was trying to get me delivered by my birthday on Sat 9/25. That’s a really cool thing to be aware of and mention and I hope he knows more than he’s shared so far regarding the truck being in transit or expected by then.
