I have FINALLY found functional power running boards for my 2025 Rivian R1S. They work by magnetic induction. No ad hoc wiring into the vehicle’s electronics (which does not work on 2025+). It was a bear to install, but it works flawlessly and looks great. They can be found on eBay. Make sure you enquire from the seller that they are the magnetic induction type.

Maybe it is the pics in the eBay ad but it doesn’t appear to come down far. It opens out but not necessarily down. I would prob just rub my pants on it when I get out and get them dirty
Does that happen for you? Can you adjust them so they don’t come out if you don’t need them?

Yeah, photos of it installed would be nice. The eBay listing's "installed" photos are all of different vehicles, and they seem to fit differently on each. On some, they seem to stick straight out, on others they seem to have a decent drop.

Look just like Hansshow's, which is just bad news. Plus, I don't see taxing the 12V further as a plus. To each his own.

Hansshow’s does not work on a 2025 R1S. Do not buy from them. Tech support is available China-time by very poor English speakers. I had to go through PayPal to get my refund. As a FYI EVBASE is the parent company of Hansshow’s. The induction model works very well and lowers to an appropriate height. As I said, it is a tough DYI, but once installed, looks and functions great.

I will upload some photos when I get home.

My 5’2” wife has no problems with them so I would say the drop is good.

There is an app to manually control them.

Pretty neat.
I had power steps on my Ram before my Rivian and they worked amazing. Great for shorter people or if you needed to get things on the roof

It is 9” from the top of the step to the ground.
