Gear Guard missed a big hit. Anyone else?

Gear guard missed a big hit. My still new interior smelling (4k miles) R1T was
parked in a lot. GG picked up people walking by, cars driving by, pulling in and out. Missed the (presumed) truck that crushed my tailgate and left. No marks on my truck other than a smashed in tailgate, light bar and dinged bumper molding. I have it narrowed down to a 9 minute window. (You can see the newly smashed light debris on the pavement after it happened…). It was raining- so wonder if that played a role. Love the truck. Bummed about the big miss…

I've noticed that gear guard really isn't that good. I came from Tesla and what I loved about theirs is that they would record 10 minutes, not 90 seconds. Tesla isn't perfect and also misses things, but not only will it record each incident for much longer when in sentry mode, but even while you're driving and you want to capture something, you don't have to hit the save recording button immediately. It will save the few minutes before you ever hit the button. Rivian really needs to extend how long it will record for it to be useful at all. That is one thing I wish I could have brought over with me from Tesla because I used it all the time.

This February I had my RH rear corner get hit and it didn’t catch it. But it caught everything before and after the incidenT.
