I refrained from using miles and kw per mile because its just not representative for me to share that if im in SoCal and you are in New York or somewhere else. Can you share how many miles these drives are / what m/kWh you’re seeing?
The only way I wanted to share this data was in apples to apples comparison. And that's me driving, on the same roads, same tires, similar temps, and same exact loop.
I can tell you that I set the car to their autonomous driving platform and set speed to 70mph. And I let it drive as much as I could before I had to intervene. And im also a stickler for making sure cold tire temp is exactly 50 psi. Not 49.5 not 50.5 not 46 or 52, but exactly 50, on all four tires.
And me driving under these same conditions, on the same trip, with 2 different cars, and letting you know what battery percentage i used, is the closest and best representation i can make, when i tell you that if you drive these both vehicles on the same roads you take when you do a trip to a certain place you frequent, and you drive them in the same exact fashion you drive, these 2 vehicles will use the same amount of battery for you too.
Range in miles and kw per miles is just too subjective to compare between different people. Because we all drive differently and drive on different roads.
