Gen 2 key fob. Anybody get it to work?

I was finally able to purchase a Gen2 key fob for my Gen2 R1S but ran into the same pairing issue described where it blinks yellow until it times out and shuts off. During the pairing process, it showed up on my phone app but the R1S screen doesn't display the key fob. Pressing the keyfob elicited nothing from the car either.
The first time I called customer service, they walked me through resetting the key fob pairing process, restarting the car, nothing worked. For reference, I only have the phone and key card paired to the car. Mobile service eventually came and connected the car to their laptop, cleared some bluetooth log/module (I'm not quite sure what exactly) on the rivian and went through the pairing process on my phone app again. Finally it was able to show up on the R1S screen itself.
Can say the key fob has been super nice as the car detects it walking up to the door and unlocks without me having to awkward fumble for my phone or keycard sometimes.
Mobile service did mention that these keyfobs have their own software updates and future releases should help resolve some of the pairing issues that others might have.

Make sure you have less than 4 keys already paired to your account before adding the FOB.

Before the 2025.06 update. The fob would just blink yellow and nothing would show up on my screen. Now after the update, it now shows up in my car. The key fob buttons work but no proximity lock and still shows key fob is pending when I click on it.

Wondering if I should follow the steps support tech told me about removing all Bluetooth on phone and reading phone or soft reset

I got that too. Sit in the car for five minutes, with the fob on the center console (same place you would put a key card). It eventually connected for me, hope it works for you too.

I had to sit in the vehicle and go into Drivers and Keys. The fob was flashing yellow and the fob icon in the vehicle had a yellow exclamation point showing. Make sure the vehicle is in park and click “set up” on the center console on the dash. That completed the pairing process for me with the icon changing to green near the fob display in the vehicle.

I'm just here to say it's a big improvement from the Gen 1 version. This one works.
