Ordered from the store on July 3rd, took delivery today. Guys at Rivian center were pumped to see darkout package on Gen 2 R1S saying they haven’t seen any come through. Short ride home, about 20 miles, but very excited for this truck and my first EV

Is the Rivian lettering black or a gunmetal? I have a silver R1t on order and I’m debating getting the darkout package. Could you post some more pictures of the front and back? Wondering what the skid plate looks like against the black bumper.

Based on some of the videos I've seen on Youtube it's more of a gunmetal, anodized aluminum look than it is like black gloss

The R1S looks so much better without the tacky silver trim. Tesla learned this too and started making black trim the standard 2 years ago.

Agreed. The dark badges are nice. But the halo.... that's the real reason for the dark out package. The R1S chrome halo is so cheap and tacky looking.
