Gen 2 R1T - No heat

Went out today, did preheat before we leaft the house. Noticed right away that after 15 minutes cabin temp actually went down. Turck had zero heat. Tried the auto on/off and hard reset (couple of times) no difference. The heat pump has always been really loud, but now its really not making any noise. blower blows air. Ended up still taking the truck just, used the heated seats and steering wheel.

Created a service ticket and have an appointment for Monday. First real issue with the truck since I picked it up in May 25. We must have the luck with heater failures, my wife’s Taycan heat also died when it was relatively new.

Hoping for a quick repair.

Found a quick temp solution to my no heat. Small space heater plugged into the outlet. 1000watt on lo/ 1500 watt on hi. works great on high. Atleast the cabin isn't 15 degrees any more.

Ugh, no good! Keep us posted as to what it is, haven’t seen this happen.

Be sure to check under your front mats for damp carpet. I had that (known) problem and scheduled a service visit to have it fixed. The day of the appointment, a three hour drive away, I found I had no heat.

Repaired as a part of the fix to the cause of the leak (AC/heat).

Picked up my R1T yesterday and the HVAC is repaired. System had a leak. O-Rings replaced. Hopefully this will put this issue to bed. One of the signs that the system had an issue and I didn't realize at the time, was when fast charging, the charge was limited due to inability to cool the battery. It was ~60 outside.

A Taycan, that's a lucky wife. I dream of a 4s or faster Cross Turismo. I actually like the station wagon look and in grey think the side profile is kind of Batmobile like. Wife not keen on the idea as a summer car for me. Sat in a Mamba Green one once. Man Porsche knows how to do some colors in the current bland world of white, red and black.

Rivian also offers some different colors, so go Rivian. We like our Canyon Red as a red actually. It's different.
