I too have gen 1 fob in a drawer and in fact today just picked up a gen 2 fob for my wife after a year of not having one.

I tried, but in Ontario Canada the demand was not there.

There's eBay - you could recoup some money, and put it out there where another owner might get some good out of it. The asking price, from most sellers, is usually too high. But the ones that I've seen that are sold in an auction still go for a bit more than I want to pay.

My key fob stopped working this past summer and Rivian told me they need to replace it, but it’s out of stock. I am still waiting. If you put it on eBay I think there would be demand for it.
