Gen2 Heat Pump and fans when cooling

After a couple of years in Gen 1 Rivians—which have always felt a little anemic with respect to cooling capability and cabin airflow—I finally spent a couple of days using our Gen2 R1T's heat pump in cooling mode. It’s a revelation—I’d frankly been a bit “meh” on the heat pump in heating mode, but wow, the air coming out of these vents is COLD, and the fans in Gen 2… well:

Bravo, Rivian. Now, if only you could default to venting the seats when it’s 85 °F + outside and the temperature is set to 65 °F inside…

“Or at least default the rear seat (R1T) floor vents either to “on, or to their prior setting. Turning on the seat cooling does little if you don’t have the rear ventilation “on” and it defaults to “off”. What a silly pain…

When the heat pump is REALLY working in Summer time you don't even need the pedestrian warning system lol

I hear ya on the seats always being on heat. It seems that lately my seats are always defaulting to heat and not the last setting -- cool. I don't recall this issue the last two summers. Did Rivian "fix" something again and not tell us?
