If the adapter speculation is true I really hope Rivian offers a NACS port upgrade in the future. Given the insane amount of money we just paid for our Tri we plan to keep it much longer than normal. Hoping at least 8 years.

OP here. Wanted to update that we had a couple great charging sessions on our trip from Kansas City to Montana. Did 99kWh in 37 minutes at the RAN in Flagler, CO. (2.67 kw per minute); 81. kWh in 29 minutes at SC in Evansville, WY. (2.79 kw per minute). Saw 210 kw peak at the SC and it held it for longer than I would have thought.

Sorry I don't have screenshots of the charge curves. I thought I could get them later in the Rivian app history but it doesn't appear that is possible. Can't seem to find the curve in the ABRP premium history either. SC app doesn't have it either.

I wish Rivian could make these charge sessions more consistent. If our R1 is capable of charging at 210kw at 42% why can't it charge at 210kw if I plug in at 42%. We never had any great charges unless we started the charge at a low SOC. On the road trips we take you mostly charge when you can not when you want.

SORT OF RELATED SAD STORY: At the Evansville, WY SC there was an F150 Tremor blocking the left most charger. Truck was running and a 6 to 8 year old boy was sleeping in the driver's seat. His parents came out of the saloon while we were charging and were hammered. The guy cut right early and hopped the curb with his passenger rear tire. I really hope that kid doesn't follow his parents examples but most often that is the case.

You won’t get optimal charging from Superchargers, trust me. Mediocre at best. Try RANs or the latest EVGo and even EA stations. You’ll get much better curves
I've gotten my best charging curves at the new Delta pilot/EVGo chargers and the Gen 2 RAN chargers.
