I dont need 7 seats but 6. Have 2 kids in car seats so if you take friend, niece, grandparents etc, the 3rd row is nice. I wish there was about 350 range, but cant have everything. Give me the 135 kwh 7 seat version with ocean coast (see what I did there) and i'll be just fine.

As of 2021, according to the U.S. Census Bureau the average family consisted of 3.13 persons in 2021, down from 3.7 in the 1960s.

You need 7 seats?

"Yeah"

Why?

"Just in case I need drive my kids friends around!"

Your kid has 4 friends?

"No... Well maybe I'll want to pick up 3 hitchhikers or something? I want 7 seats!"
"The distribution of the number of children per family in the United States is strongly skewed right with a mean of 2.5 children per family and a standard deviation of 1.3 children per family."

So lots of families (30-40%) could use more than 5 seats, not even including friends or extended family.

Do you have kids? or friends?

I do... now ?

But again, having 5 seats and 100 extra miles allows you to not have to "say" no in a lot of those who's driving situation. Can't cart around what you can't fit.

I'm sure my parents and their conversion van made a lot of extra trips they otherwise could've got out of while raising us kids.

And I still wouldn't have my kid hauler be my EV. EV's don't have the range spontaneity ICE vehicles do. And if anyone knows the how to make God laugh when you have kids it's to PLAN anything.

I'm already learning that.

Yes, I would prefer max and 5 seats. I have taken the 3rd row our of both my GX and LX .. and 400 miles would work much better for the more remote spots I travel , and if I desired to tow. Currently , based on what I see online, I would use my LX for any camper towing unless. Got a max pack .. then maybe I could use the EV.

I'm a new preorder nubie. As long as cargo space wasn't affected, I'd forego the third row seat for the max battery! I personally don't see the need for that seat.

Personally I would prefer the larger battery + 5 seats.

Right now with a 2 year old in a baby seat, it would be nice to have 7 seats (I can put him in the back and have room for more people). But I forget sometimes that children grow up quick. In just a little while, it'll be a booster, then none at all.

5 seats is better in the long run for me.
It is funny I posted this over a month ago. Now I'm sort of glad I got the 7 seater after seeing it in person.

I don't know exactly how large the battery packs are but even with the 7 seater there is a LOT of room under the rear where the spare tire would go. I'd rather skip the spare tire (none of my vehicles have one anyway) and put something there. If you lift the trunk floor panel, then lift the little cubby area, there is a very deep well.
