I recently bought a gunner kennel to take my dog to work. Here’s what it looks like in my r1s.

I had to rip a 4x6 into a 2.25x6 to level the crate since the floor of the Rivian isn’t level. The block of wood is painted black so it doesn’t stand out. I’m also sad that there are no tie downs available in the third row area. So I’ve just strapped down the front of the crate.

There are car seat anchor points at the back of the seats. You can creat a strap to use those to anchor the portion butting up to the back seats.

Today, FedEx delivered our new Gunner G1 Kennel in size medium. These things are really overbuilt - and heavy!

Rivian Service is selling me two additional cargo tie-downs for the cargo area tracks ($261 with tax) so I can use all four Gunner supplied tie-down straps. I already had a mobile service appointment next week, so the technician is bringing the extra pair of tie-down cars.

Funny. I bought an extra pair of tie downs too. But once I put the crate in I realized the second set won’t help. I really need tie downs in the place where the third row is.

I've been thinking about how to level my gunner in the R1S. Does it feel stable now with the board?

Also, my Springer was named Lexi. ❤

super stable. It’s not going anywhere. The block works quite well.

Rivian mobile service delivered my two additional cargo tie-down cars today. I need to correct my post from when I ordered them from Rivian Service. While the original quote was $261 for the two cars, the actual amount I was charged today was $122.70 for the pair. Apparently, the original quote automatically included installation labor which was subsequently removed since they slide right onto the tie-down track in the R1S cargo area. Pricy but not totally ridiculous. ?
