FWIW I have 16k on the LTXs we put on the R1S Dune to get something quieter and more efficient and another couple thousand on the R1T DM replacement for the 21 Pirellis. I am underwhelmed by the efficiency. I lost 7-10% vs the OEMs when I made the switch on the Pirellis. The Dune gets 1.9-2.1 m/kwh on hwy. (It's a 280 mile vehicle with a freaking max pack.)

I know lots of folks love them but I am not sure impressed.
A little hard to follow, 20s or 21s?
Keep in mind your efficiency changes with speed and temp
Hot and going slow? There’s 3.0 MPK
Cold and driving fast? Now your only getting 1.6 MPK
At the end of the day you are getting a great tire that costs a bit less than the Pirelli…

Put the highway tires on the 22s for max range and comfort.
Store the 21" and see if they are really needed.

I would recommend 20" tires for any off-road use. You need the larger sidewall, especially if you end up having to lower tire pressure.
True, but there is an AT option for the 21" wheel, which would save money on having to buy new wheels.
Agree with @VandalSibs - OP said "Ski Trips, Camping, limited offroad." so 21" wheel with AT is more than sufficient for the stated use.

We have an R1S with 20" wheels and LTXs on them that were swapped out new and an R1T with 21" wheels and LTXs on them. The R1T definitely dropped 7% - 10%. R1S has disappointing efficiency but I have no way to know how much is attributable to the tire.

Your vehicle, your choice, but I will not buy another LTX to replace these when the time comes.

another 21" option are Bridgestone Alenzas....just replaced the Pirellis with these...quieter,responsive, all season rated....I'm very pleased w them
Same here! Alenza's were $175/tire less than the Michelin option and I'm really happy with the ride!

Got it, so what would you get instead?

I am not sure yet but will be scouring the options and experiences here when the time comes (another year I guess). Right now for the 21s I am leaning to the Hankook Ion HTs or the Bridgestone Alenza Prestige since both have a specific EV range focus. For the R1S I think I will go the opposite direction and go with the Wrangler ATs since we did not gain that much on the LTXs and we missed the ATs on a couple of unimproved road expeditions. May stay with the 60s instead of the 65s. But not really focused on that just yet.
