Rhetorical question but, umm, why was your truck not in Park while you were adjusting the seat?Had the whole fam in the car and while my easy entry mode was pushing my seat forward I hit the accelerator and launched out of my garage. We all screamed. And then the regen made us want to vom.
I actually wasn't adjusting my seat, the easy entry mode was, which doesn't activate until you press the brake to put the car into gear. Just my fault for putting it into reverse too quickly and hitting the accelerator. Scary stuff. Lesson learned.Rhetorical question but, umm, why was your truck not in Park while you were adjusting the seat?
Sorry, didn't mean to imply that you were manually moving the seat. The initiator of the seat motion isn't the element of the scenario to focus on but you got my point - it was your fault for putting the vehicle into reverse while the seat was in motion. And thanks for sharing your experience so that hopefully nobody else makes the same mistake.I actually wasn't adjusting my seat, the easy entry mode was, which doesn't activate until you press the brake to put the car into gear. Our Ford has the easy entry mode that I activated for the first time last week. I was also concerned whether you could do this, because of the unexpected forward or backward seat movement when the car is push button started. It's my wife's car, but we both agreed that it was a feature that will be turned off. Just feels weird and gives you an uneasy feeling when on our slanted driveway, since the car moves when your foot is pulled away from the brake... Owell...I actually wasn't adjusting my seat, the easy entry mode was, which doesn't activate until you press the brake to put the car into gear.
