A new Goodyear Wrangler Territory AT, designed specifically for Rivian, has just been launched. Goodyear uses the Wrangler Territory brand name to fine-tune designs unique to individual Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Any existing reviews likely pertain to different tires, optimized for separate vehicles with varying performance objectives developed with Goodyear and the OEM. The new Goodyear tire is exclusively designed for the R1.

Regarding consumer reviews, it’s important to note that they often stem from the personal experiences and perceptions of non-experts, rather than scientific testing. Anyone can write a review, which may contain misleading information.

Goodyear collaborated with Rivian to develop a new tire specifically for the R1. This tire offers optimized performance in terms of efficiency, ride comfort, handling, noise (NVH), all-season capability, on/off road balance, treadwear and rugged aesthetics.

What’s the not brochure answer, especially since some of those are opposites.

Goodyear and Rivian worked closely together to develop a well rounded tire (intended pun). The tread pattern, tire construction and compounds help balance performance tradeoffs. I am very pleased with the overall performance of this tire along with my R1T.

I was at 2.59 mi/kWh during a 15 minute window on my dual performance R1T. Cruise set to 65mph, Goodyear tires, All-Purpose drive mode and some slight elevation changes. Your mileage may vary.

15 minute meter and random trip meters like above don't tell full stories about wind, altitude change, etc. That's why testing in a defined loop is important, negates external factors.

Agreed, minimizing the variables in a closed loop would give the most meaningful data.

I'm excited to get more real world reviews of these Toyo A/T as they are offered in both OEM sizing and ones that match the rolling diameter of the 21inch wheels. (60 and 65) Seems like this will be a great option for a lot of folks upgrading to aftermarket 20's wanting choices and keeping efficiency top of mind.

hmm, haven’t seen any efficient tires over 50#.
those are LT so efficiency is a non-consideration. They will ride much rougher too. They will be great for towing and off-roading…but should not expect them to get much more than 2.0 MPK.

Related to this, I have the 21's and when the rubber is toast, I'll likely go to a 20" option. Of course, I'll try to sell the 21's. But as I'm not really expecting much demand, I was thinking I would keep the 21 spare tire. I was thinking if I went with the 60's and had a flat, the 21 would be perfectly fine as a temporary spare. Thoughts/concerns...i.e., am I a moron for even considering this?

I'd say Rivian Forums is FOUO, only share with those possessing a Need to Know. Last time I used Rivian Forums to prove a point to my wife, I got The Stare..

So finally got my wheels and tires. I went with B Digs recommendation with the new Rivian spec good years Wrangler AT. I will note that America’s Tires couldn’t install my wheels because they didn’t have thin spline sockets. Atomic Wheel should put a disclaimer about that so you are prepared. I ended up having to install myself.

Too bad you had to go through some extra steps, but the end result looks great!
