Do we have a thread for highest mi/kwh yet? Couldn't find one with search.

It was a short trip, but just pulled into Evergreen, CO for lunch. Got 6.3. Any of the CO folks want to venture a guess at my starting point?

Damn, that was pretty quick.

Correct. Went from 101 miles of range to 119 miles.

Hahaha. It was the average speed that gave it away.

I get 4+ mi/kWh on the way back from Breck to east Denver. Its fun to watch the range just sit still or go up most of the way home.

101 to 103 from the top of Evans to home in west Denver. Mi/kwh on the trip now reads 0.0 and Total Kwh used reads 0.

Wouldn't they have to be round trips to be of any value? Otherwise you can go downhill for many miles and get a ridiculously high mi/kWh reading.

I got nearly 175 miles out of a single charge on a Chevy Volt one time 10+ years ago, because I started at around 8,000 feet. Numbers are just silly unless you can complete the round trip.

Top of Mt. Evans?
LMAO
Last week I drove my Jeep to the top of Argentine Mountain (Argentine Pass near Georgetown). The trip from Erie to there put my milage at 16.9mpg. But coming down from the mountain, then through I70 to Golden brought it back all the way to 20mpg.

But I’m not sure I’ll take the Rivian to the top of the mountain. There is a rather large rock you have to get over as you make the final assent.

It's been about a year or so since I've done Argentine Pass, but I was thinking about taking the R1T on its first adventure up it. If you're looking to do it with another R1T and risk that rock (I know exactly where you're referring to), I'd be up for it!

So I’ve noticed this as well coming down from RMNP. Why does the 15 min average top out at 4mi/kWh … seems like a bug in the display though I wonder if it propagates to the trip calculation too.

I don't think it's a bug, they just had to cut it off somewhere and anything north of 4 is both rare and not useful. The trip simply takes total miles driven divided by total energy used, so no effect whatsoever there.

If anything, the 15 min number is really not even accurate/valid, because it's time weighted, not the same calculation used in the trip.
