so with great luck my guide is out on vacation and I have received no response with the oncallguide email. Call the main customer service number also but they were quick in tell me an on call guide would call me back today but hung up before i was able to ask my questions.....

I'm on Long Island and the only pick-up option is at the Brooklyn center; did they stop the home delivery option?

I received my loan check from PenFed today but unclear if I am suppose to hand it over during pick-up or do I overnight it to the Palo Alto address?

Any insight based on your past experience would be appreciated.

I financed with PenFed and sent my check to the Palo Alto address before delivery

If you have the check in hand, you can give it to the guide on delivery. They were fine with this during my home delivery.

Yeah, "Home Delivery" ended quite recently unfortunately.
How far out from Brooklyn are you?

so the guide on call got back to me, basically if you do not see the delivery option it is not available. I overnighted the check not to miss FedEx at the office hopefully that was the right move. I'm about an hour away from the Brooklyn center.

I am a bit surprised this process is not as clear/smooth as it should. My Tesla and Polestar experience has been much better. Instead of waiting for the guide to get back to you; there should be a main number to call that can pull up the information and give you the answers right there. The 888 RIVIAN1 number is like an answering service for a small plumber that can give you no real information and only offer someone to call you back.

Hey fellow islander. Luckily my guide is responsive so I can tell you what I know:

1. Your check. You need to go to step 5 documents on the 8 steps and upload a picture of the check.

2. Guides and delivery - I have seen the posts saying no more guide deliveries. I specifically asked my guide about this by text today and he said that 'a specialist' delivery is certainly an option. My person has been honest so I am assuming this is NOT some Rivian double speak.

My R1s is on a train. It loaded Friday and today is in PA, more than halfway by miles per google maps so I'd say it will be in Brooklyn by end of week. Then it may sit for a week to get in que. Could be like 3 weeks from when they gave me a Vin.

Feel free to PM me. We should meet up when we get our vehicles.

Thank you DB-EV, i had a feeling my guide wasn't too helpful when she ignore half of my questions initially. Her going on vacation just made it worse, I just got a message an hour ago saying to put the check attention to title department which wasn't anywhere on the documentation. Hopefully I can still pick up the car on Thursday. I'm located in Syosset and see a white R1T and 1 R1S daily on route 106, we should have a little gathering.

Well, you are very fortunate.... Rivian has plans to build a new Service Center in Syosset in the near future. LOL... looking at their SC map.. that SC looks like it will be almost on top of the Syosset Tesla SC.

I'm out in Stony Brook... so Syosset is still a decent drive for me, but wayyyyyy closer than Brooklyn that's for sure!

I’m glad I found this thread. I don’t have a service near where I’m located in Hauppauge and I received an email today that an R1S configurator invite is coming before the end year. Has there been any further updates about the new Service Center in Syosset? When I click on the service center icon on the map it states the location is Trenton, NY. If Syosset happens I would feel better about a potential purchase of an R1S. Any of you come from a Tesla Model Y?
