To the person who took a @Riviot stickered Matchbox truck off someone else's R1T at the Seattle Space soft opening August 17th organized by Emerald City Rivian Club and Seattle Rivian Owners...

Really, dude? You sap the fun out of community events and spontaneous gifting by stealing from your neighbor. I leave these as happy "Gotcha!"s for the owner, not for you to pluck and villainously laugh about all the way home. Your time would surely come soon enough, either by me or another happy Rivian owner. I don't search every Dollar Tree I pass because I enjoy awkwardly searching through Matchbox cars with kids for the ONE Rivian. I do it for the community we've built.

Do better, stranger. If you're willing to speak up, please do here or in a PM. Let's reconcile this.

I have no idea what the history is behind this post, but if someone grabbed a matchbox for their kid, right or wrong, it is probably more appreciated by the kid than an adult owner would.

People shouldn't grab things off of vehicles that aren't theirs, but I think a toddler would enjoy this more than I would.

Wow that's pretty bad. Sorry that happened...but don't let that persons actions overshadow a positive event. Try to find some positive in it if possible. Hopefully a child in need got it. Unfortunately there are a lot of unscrupulous folks in this world.

So if I like your truck more than you do can I have it? There is no justification for this and stealing a toy for your child is a great way to ensure your kid is going to grow up to be an entitled little asshole.

I just learned last night it was stolen and the intended recipient did not get it. I didn't think I'd have to be that annoying guy going "didja get it? Didja? How'd you like it? Pretty cool huh?" But found it odd no comments were made, so I mentioned it "in passing" and sure enough, gone. Perhaps his kids would've enjoyed it too...

I gotta remind myself, not everyone sucks. Now I need to find a better spot to stick them, or maybe set off alarms so they know to look for it!
