No 2025 R1Ts yet - focusing on the SUV. That’s where the market is and I am sure they also want to push anyone with a preorder voucher and who wants a truck to get a 2023/2024 model to help clear inventory.I see a dozen dual motor R1S available. No R1T or Quad for gen 2. Have they shipped any Gen 2 R1Ts? Or are they focusing on R1S?
Note I’m happy with my 2022 R1T. Probably going to cancel my other reservation s00n.
That’s compelling. Nice job!I just placed my order on Friday. $60k base silver LFP dual. After my tax credit its going to be like $52k.
This is my 2nd one, i ordered a R1S quad with 2022 tax credit prior to this.
Reading the rules as stated, it appears you must take delivery “on or before September 30”. It fails to say 2024 and every year has a “September 30”. ?Then the rule change effectively makes the voucher worthless. If that’s the case, I should have made a lot of noise in 2023 to get a vehicle then instead of patiently waiting for Rivian to arrive with my confirmed configuration on which I had made my deposit non-refundable. ?
It is clear that it is for 2024.Reading the rules as stated, it appears you must take delivery “on or before September 30”. It fails to say 2024 and every year has a “September 30”. ?
I agree with you that it’s clearly implied but the only year I see in the copied rules on the post is “2022” (in the first portion). Otherwise, I don’t see another year.It is clear that it is for 2024.
My understanding is that gen 1 ang gen 2 max packs are identical, aside from the frame assembly, and that the pack's ARE made in house in Normal. I've seen a brief clip of them being assembled. Rivian has even commented that the new gen 2 pack assemblies have substantially streamlined manufacturability.I think they are more focused on moving 2023-24 inventory thru pre-order voucher, attractive lease deals, etc... let orders for Gen 2 come in so they can do proper SIOP for factory planning.
That's why I think they started started with standard pack for the shop, which also uses Samsung batteries. they buy their packs fully assembled, so who knows what if any max packs they have in normal. If you see more than a few large or max in the shop I'd be surprised.
I didn't say they wouldn't deliver a customer configured large/max. I just don't think they will be in shop until they push some of this remaining inventory.
