At the end of the day, is not about what you have, it is about who you are. Some may pay cash, some may struggle to make the payments like I struggle to find an OEM Rivian gas cap.
Those who get to roll in a Rivian are thankful either way, Happy Holiday’s to all the members. Good things to all of you, whoever posted to lottery bit, remember to toss some good things to us if you win ??

Seems like the more pertinent question is "are you a pedant?"

Geez. If you don't want to answer the question, don't click the link.

Thank you all your responses!! I really missed the other poll - thanks for pointing it out. Honestly, I’ve been having this question in mind for quite a while now and just jumped into it without searching first.

appreciate all the jokes and honest feedback equally. I did mean the “peasants” part as a jest - not condescendingly.

also, good point about paper millionaires, despite the choice of words, I meant income annually in the millions.

I think the poll that might work well is:

When making this purchase I considered:
A. Increased insurance premiums vs gas savings
B. My annual income
C. My net worth
D. Color not clashing with my other two Rivians

I’m retired. Paid cash. My financial planning software indicated the Rivian purchase would be no factor in our retirement financial security. Wife still says the R1S is an extravagance and a nuisance to charge on road trips. Whatever. I love it. ?

Retired MD; 13 years of school after high school, on call 75% of my 24 year career mostly in the military ( LOL-I paid for school and not the military). I did not have time to spend money and saved a third of my gross pay. It was an incredibly lucky time to invest in the stock market.

I still don’t buy many possessions because I don’t want to manage a bunch of stuff.

The Count knows plenty of people with high income but also high debt. As The Count's Axiom #22 states: it isn't what you make it is what you spend.

Furthermore, don't forget the importance of liquid assets (in the form of a good single malt of course).
