I wish Rivian would enable the tank turn!

One of my decisions for selecting the R1T, was the tank turn feature. I have a small area to turn around before backing into my garage. No problem in the Spring, Summer or Fall. In the winter when there is snow and ice, I can’t turn around. I would use the tank turn only in the Winter or in the mud.

I think Rivian didn’t have ducks in a row when they were advertising the R1T!!

For all the good reasons mentioned it still doesn't make sense why we can't have tank turn only at super slow speed. Like under 5mph the vehicle can spin on its axis for navigating tight trails and parking spots. I'd even use it occasionally lining up to park.

That wouldn't be dangerous or cause increased wear or damage to anything.
