ios shortcuts and the Rivian app?

Hi all,

I searched the forums and didn't see an answer, so my humble apologies if this has already been asked/answered.

I was wondering if it's possible to use ios shortcuts with the Rivian app. It's been a little toasty here lately so I've been pre-cooling my R1S before I hop inside. Right now that involves opening the app, scrolling to climate, clicking climate, clicking the fan, scrolling and clicking the two seats for venting. If all that could be replaced with a shortcut button it would be so nice!

A shortcut to lock/unlock would also be really nice. These two shortcuts would cover about 90% of what I use the app for.

It’s not difficult to add to an iOS app and it would add a lot of value!

iOS Shortcuts are now supported, but with a limited set of features. You need to update to Rivian app 2.4.0 (released today) and have 2023.38 firmware on your Rivian.

Shortcuts are limited to locking/unlocking doors and opening/closing the frunk/tailgate (on R1S).

I wish they'd add a shortcut for preconditioning like Tesla has.

You have to go to All Shortcuts then hit the + to add a new one. Search for Rivian to find the actions. For some reason they don't just show up in the list like other apps. I was able to get the open/close hood and lock/unlock doors to work from my watch, which was nice. Though every time I trigger them it shows an error, but they do work. You can also toggle the mode that makes it so you have to have the device unlocked for it to work.

I just programmed it to my quick action button on side of iPhone 15 pro . Works amazing.. now I just need to press the button on the side of my phone when it’s not quick enough.

I did the same with the action button on my iPhone. Then I found this Multibutton shortcut that allows you to assign two shortcuts to the button. Now I can unlock and lock from the button on the phone. It's also working on the apple watch ultra action button though it's a little glitchy, fwiw.
