Is the G2 piano black trim clear coated?

Our neighbor's dog got up on the driver's door of our G2 R1S and really scratched the crap out of it when she pushed the dog sideways instead of pulling him by his collar. He slid across and got into the passenger door as well. I'm confident I can get the scratches out of the paint clear coat with my orbital. The piano black window trim I'm not so sure about. Does it have a clear coat?

I’m not sure but if I had to tackle it I’d probably start with something like PlastX first before a traditional polish. My guess is it’s plastic trim and not actually painted.

Depending on how deep the plastic scratches are, Novus plastic polish kit may be your best bet. It worked great in my Ioniq 5N.
