I was verifying how to use my new Jack Pucks for the first time today and had difficulty with one of the four jack points. The passenger front jack point's cutout is not centered over the alignment hole. When I put the jack puck in this one, it doesn't sit flush. I'm attaching a photo of the location below. It's hard to see the issue due to parallax effect on where I hold the camera.

Has anyone else experienced this? I found if I really push laterally on the puck I can get it flush (or put another way, perpendicular to the truck). I'd hate to have the puck not aligned when I jack the truck up. Maybe the weight will force it flush? I'm thinking of cutting the small amount of material along the opening toward the center of the truck, but I don't know how that will affect the plastic panel long term.

Thanks for sharing! I've seen this issue about 10 times now since our product is designed for Rivian lift points. Some have used a Dremel or rat-tail file to trim the plastic while keeping the cover attached. The spot you noted seems to align with the cover’s inside tab, which might prevent it from staying on. A heat gun could help mold the plastic just enough to square up the jack puck.

Hey, thanks for reaching out here. I appreciate it. Good point about the inside tab. I hadn't thought of that. If I make the hole bigger by any means the tab may not keep the cover in place. I may try jacking it and see what happens. Maybe the vertical force will square it up. I could also look at loosening all the fasteners on that plastic trim piece to see if I can move it toward the center of the truck (not too optimistic on this though). I have a service center appointment in about a month to get my power tonneau cover installed - I might ask them about it then.

I would give this a try. You probably just need to remove/reinstall the trim and it'll sit flush, kind of looks like the tabs are not tucked in the right spots. I've taken it off for accessing gear tunnel hinge before, it's not too difficult, just requires a couple torx bits.

I recommend loosening/removing, reinstalling almost all the way, put the puck in the right spot to align it, then tightening down.

Before you go about cutting stuff, loosen the screws holding the plastic panel on and knock it a few times to shift it over or see if you can push the jack puck straight and then tighten the screws. There's some play in it. You don't even need to get the hole centered, just get enough clearance that the jack puck goes in straight.

I had to fuss with it after I installed my running boards and had to put the covers back on. First go-round there was a jack puck that wouldn't go in straight similar to what you have going on here and I was able to just shift it over.

Following up on an old thead. I followed @Kaiju's and @Riviott's advice and loosened the screws when I was jacking the truck up to rotate my tires. Seems like it worked! I think the hole is still a little off-center but it is workable.

I assumed the appearance of being "off" on mine was just due to the angle of the plastic molding piece. I jammed the puck up in there and snugged it in with the jack, everything went into place without issue... May be a wholly different scenario you're dealing with though...

I did the same when I first got my truck for one of the jack points. This is the way.

I had the problem the OP describes. Portland (OR) Service Center fixed it. Only took a few minutes.

Best wishes!
