It should be noted there will be some youtube idiot that tries to open it while frozen just to cry and get clicks. Please people if its got snow sitting on it or its below freezing don't push the button. If I have to use mine this winter I will open it and leave it open till I get it back into the garage and warmed up.
I expect a powered tonneau to work during the winter as well with snow on it. I still use my vehicle in the winter. That's a very basic expectation. I also expect the charge port and powered handles to also function no matter the conditions. It's Rivians job to test in these conditions before sending a product to customers. If the charge port fails due to driving in freezing rain and trying to charge when I get home, that is Rivians fault for poorly designing and overengineering the vehicle. If they couldn't get it right, shouldn't be shipped.

I have used my tonneau cover since day one with no issues. I have also been in rain, snow, and ice and still used it. When it was iced over, I hit the slats a few time with my fist, I think it broke the ice enough to allow the cover to operate normally. I know the design is defective and I will ultimately get a new cover, but until then…use it!
