Has anyone else on a gen 2 try out the latest update to sport mode? My R1S lives in sport, and I have to say the handling is noticeably better after my update yesterday. It feels more connected in turns at speed. Anyone else notice an improvement?

Yes. It was also included in the release notes that they improved handling / steering feedback for sport mode.

Perhaps its the Michelin Defender LTS M/S2 tires instead of Pirelli AS but on my g1 R1S, with 22"/low/firm did not noticed much difference in the sports mode, if at all in terms of handling or feedback.

The kind of feedback I was expecting, after reading the release notes, were things like tire max adhesion at the limit, road surface changes and the vehicle turn-in at higher speed directional change.

That said it is a electronic power steering so need to temper expectations.
