Should I be concerned? That seems a long time for a car to sit on the lot. I’m getting discounts on financing and the Q1 promo. I could ask for a newer one.

I know there were some issues with the earlier VINs since they were the first to come off the line, but they had some extras like the suede headliner and cubbies in the third row. It wouldn’t hurt to ask them if yours come with that.

Personally I’m glad mine was made later because they had worked out some of the kinks in their manufacturing. Whatever you do, you’re going to love the vehicle.

From my experience no. I picked up my low vin R1S end of January, 2023, was built in October 2022. I have no complaints.

In the dealership model cars are usually months old on delivery.

One last question- I hope; the contract indicates 100 miles on the odometer. Is that typical for Rivian? That's high in my experience. No one has mentioned that before at Rivian. The car is being transferred from the Salt Lake area to Orange County. I haven't signed off.

That is normal. It said the same thing for mine

Picked my R1S last Thursday. Paperwork said 100 miles, but the truck had 13 miles on the odometer. They go high in case they have to drive it a little more, then they won’t have to change the paperwork.
