Hi Forum,
I was approved for a lease on a 2026 R1S Tri; supposed to take delivery 23Sept. However, while I have an 800+ FICO score my MF is .00301 (7.22% APR). Personally, I think it rather high given my FICO score. But just looking another perspective just in case I'm in my feelings. Is that a good MF/rate?

Its not great - but its the best Rivian/Chase offer for a lease even for high FICO scores. if kept full-term, the federal lease savings are more or less eaten up by the MF. but there is no penalty for an early buyout, thus mitigating the high MF if bought soon after delivery.

The MF is higher for the Tri’s than the Dual’s. Rivian is subsidizing the rate for the duals, probably not for the Tri’s because they think folks in that price range don’t care as much as about the monthly price?

Thank you for the feedback.

The plan is to buyout lease early (by end of year). However, I haven't purchased/leased a new vehicle in 15yrs & then I paid cash. Nevertheless, I wasn't expecting such a high MF/APR.

It would appear even w/high FICO this is the going MF for this vehicle in these economic times, so I'll make due:)

Thanks again.

Rivian adjust the MF every month or quarter? My R1S Tri 2025 delivered on June-30th is 6.x%, and sales told me you are lucky because it's 7.x% started on July-1st.

In June, my wife was not quite on board with this purchase. She JUST said 'yes' last Saturday after seeing a Storm Blue/Slate Sky TM in person.

Yes, I got the same money factor on the R1 I leased 10 days ago. It was going to cost me $18,000 over three years in interest. I bought out the lease yesterday. $500 a month in interest is nuts

Having grown up in Las Vegas, I dig the casino reference;) Definitely want to minimize their 'win' as much as possible

I calculated the MF / Rate on many lease options and here's what I've seen this month:

- 2026 Dual Standard (when it had the $6500 discount but perhaps also true now with the $3000 discount) - ~10%
- 2026 Dual Large or Max Performance (with $6500 discount) - 6% - 7%
- 2025 Dual Large or Max Performance (with $6500 discount) - 3.5 - 3.8%
- 2025 and 2026 Tri (with $6500 discount) - ~5.5%
